The Accu-Chek Active blood glucose meter is a compact and user-friendly device that offers no coding, 90-day test result averages, alerts for expired strips or insufficient blood, re-dosing within 10 seconds, and meal-time reminders for testing.

How to Use:

• Prepare the Meter and Strips: Insert a new test strip into the meter (only one correct way).

   

• Wash Your Hands: Clean your hands with soap and water, then dry thoroughly.

   

• Prepare the Lancing Device: Insert a clean lancet and adjust the depth (usually 2 or 3).

   

• Prick Your Finger: Hold the lancing device to the side of your fingertip and press the button to release the lancet.

   

• Apply Blood to the Test Strip: Gently squeeze your fingertip to get a drop of blood and apply it to the edge of the strip, ensuring full coverage of the sample area.

   

• Wait for the Result: The meter will display your blood glucose level within seconds.

   

• Record the Result: Track your reading in the meter’s memory, which stores results for up to 90 days.

   

• Re-dose (if needed): If the sample was insufficient, the meter alerts you, and you can re-dose within 10 seconds using the same strip.

   

• Dispose of Used Items: Safely discard the used lancet and test strip in a proper sharps container.

   

• Clean the Meter: Wipe the meter with a clean, dry cloth after use.
